When capturing images with a camera or smartphone, consider acting as a photographer. Regardless of the type of photography (e.g., product, portrait, event, etc.) any images that you share or publish online should include descriptive, relevant alt text and be of highest quality and high-color contrast. Including alternative text assists those with hearing or vision disabilities that depend on screen readers, braille output devices, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technologies.
