UCF offers an optional Early Action (EA) admission process for domestic first-time-in-college (FTIC) applicants. The EA option provides prospective students with a more structured timeline and earlier notification of their admission status, while maintaining flexibility for students who wish to partake in regular rolling admission.
FTIC students who wish to apply EA for the Summer or Fall term must submit their application by Oct. 15. All required application materials must be received by Nov. 1. FTIC applicants who meet these deadlines will receive a final admission decision or a deferral for additional information on Nov. 15. Applications completed and submitted after the Nov. 1 EA deadline will be reviewed as part of our regular rolling admission process beginning each January.
Key Dates for Early Action Applicants:
- Early Action Application Deadline: Oct. 15
- Early Action Material Submission Deadline: Nov. 1
- Early Action Decision Release Notification Date: Nov. 15
Early action at UCF is non-binding, meaning that admitted students are not obligated to submit an enrollment deposit upon admission and have until May 1 to make their final decision. This flexibility allows students to explore their options and make the most informed choice about their college education.
