UCF Communication Channels
When sharing a message with the UCF audience, consider these useful media channels.
UCF Events Calendar
To promote events with specific dates, times and locations that are open and relevant to both the university, as well as external communities, this system allows users to post one-time events or create a department or organization-specific calendar. Any UCF communicator with an NID can create a calendar, post events and suggest a post for distribution on the main university calendar.
UCF Announcements
This page offers a channel for important announcements and events that need to be sent to the entire campus, such as changes to processes, deadlines and important employee retirement receptions. Announcement requests are reviewed two times a week and approved announcements are published to the main website and distributed to all students, faculty and staff via Campus News and Announcements emails every Monday. Anyone with an NID can post announcements for review.
UCF Today
UCF’s primary online publication shares stories written by UCF authors from every corner of the campus. Information presented on this site is considered public information (unless otherwise noted) and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credit is requested. Submit story ideas to today@ucf.edu.
Journalists looking for information or faculty experts should contact UCF Communications, the primary media and public relations office for the University of Central Florida. The department is dedicated to distributing university news and assisting reporters. Submit news story ideas to Chad Binette.
UCF Social Media
Our social media platforms serve as effective communication tools for telling the UCF story, sharing news, promoting events and engaging with the UCF community and beyond by being bold, modern and youthful. Have an interesting idea or need help promoting an event? To submit an idea or schedule a time to brainstorm, contact Paige Wilson.
Pegasus Magazine
The official magazine of UCF is published three times per year for alumni, faculty, staff, students and other important constituents in the UCF community. Submit a story idea.
Nicholson Student Media
NSM Today is operated by the journalism students in the Nicholson School of Communication. Content is created, edited and published by students in the Senior Capstone in Journalism: Digital News Service (JOU 4950) class under the guidance of a faculty advisor. Stories do not reflect the opinions or positions of UCF, its administration, faculty or staff. Submit a story idea.
Campus Digital Signage
The UCF Marquee digital sign on Alafaya Trail is managed by UCF Marketing and can be used for official UCF events and announcements if the scope includes the community. Electronic boards such as the Recreation and Wellness Center, Student Union, UCF colleges and other locations are managed by the individual units.
