Applied Linguistics is a vibrant, interdisciplinary field that explores topics in language science, second language acquisition, and language teaching practices. Through the four core courses and a wide range of electives, Applied Linguistics students will develop skills that are required by many employers today, for example, critical thinking, research, oral and written communication skills.
Students will be able to apply their professional knowledge in a variety of settings such as English language programs in the United States and abroad, non-profit organizations, and corporate settings.
