The Art Studio Minor provides students with a solid foundation in the techniques and theory in studio art. Students are able to explore more in-depth concepts and practices by enrolling in upper-level courses in multiple specializations.
As part of the program, some courses study the form and proportion of the human figure nude models are used as reference.

- A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required in all courses used to satisfy the minor.
- Complete six (6) hours of Studio Art courses at the 3XXX-4XXX level at UCF within the School of Visual Arts and Design.
- At least 12 hours used in the minor must be earned at UCF within the School of Visual Arts and Design.
- No credit by exam (TSD, Military credit) may be used.
- Co-op, Independent Study, Directed Research, or Internship credit cannot be used in the minor.
- Students in this program must satisfactorily complete the mandatory Studio Art Portfolio review prior to enrolling in portfolio restricted upper level Studio Art courses. Students enroll in ART 3950 the semester after passing the Studio Art Portfolio review.
