Minor Admission Requirements

• Completion of FRE 2201 with a "C" (2.0) or better.

Required Courses

• Complete all of the following
  • Complete the following:
    • FRE3300 - French Grammar (3)
    • FRE4421 - Advanced French Conversation (3)
    • FRE3400 - French Conversation and Composition (3)
    • FRW3001 - Fundamentals of French and Francophone Literature (3)
  • Native or near-native speakers of French can substitute FRE 4421 with an approved elective course in FRE, FRT, or FRW. Approval must be granted prior to taking the course.

Restricted Electives

• Complete all of the following
  • Earn at least 6 credits from the following types of courses: Select 2 upper-division FRE, FRW, or FRT courses offered in the Department of Modern Languages not already used to satisfy the minor.
  • Meet with a program advisor prior to registration.

Other Requirements

• A grade of "C" (2.0) or better is required in all courses used to satisfy the minor.
• At least 12 hours used in the minor must be earned at UCF within the department.
• A maximum of 6 hours of study abroad credit may be applied to the minor at the program director's discretion.
• No credit exam (TSD, Military credit) may be used.
• Internship, Co-op, or Independent Study credit may be used toward the minor with departmental permission.
