The objective of this minor is to provide engineering, and computer science students with the opportunity to learn about and experience firsthand the global aspects of engineering, science, and technology. This minor is designed for maximum flexibility in programming, given the many different countries, cultures, partner foreign institutions and individual student needs.
Minor Admission Requirements
- Admission by approval of the Program Coordinator
- A minimum UCF cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required to enter the minor.
Prerequisite Courses
- Completion of a minimum of 45 credit hours prior to the study abroad experience.
- Course prerequisites should be met prior to taking courses, consult the UCF Undergraduate Catalog for individual course requirements.

Study Abroad Experience

- Complete all of the following
- The Study Abroad Experience must be preapproved by the Program Coordinator.
Language & Cultural Coursework- Earn at least 3 credits from the following types of courses: Complete at least 3 hours of language or cultural coursework as part of a study abroad experience at a host institution.
Technical Coursework- Earn at least 9 credits from the following types of courses: Complete at least 9 hours of technical coursework in the engineering, computer science, or related disciplines.
Grand Total Credits: 18
Total Undergraduate Credit Hours Required: 18
Other Requirements
- A minimum grade of "C" (2.0) or better is required in each course toward the minor.
- Pre-requisites to the minor include completion of a minimum of 45 credit hours prior to the study abroad experience.
