Mission: The Leadership degree program takes an interdisciplinary approach to the understanding of leadership and its application and role in organizations and society.
Purpose: This degree program will help students better understand their role as leaders and the ways in which they can maximize that role to make a positive impact in their communities, organizations, and our society.
This degree program can be completed completely online. The core classes are offered exclusively online.

Foreign Language Requirements
The difference between the B.A. degree and the B.S. degree is that students who select the B.A. option must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language equivalent to 1 year at the college level. Other Requirements
- Earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or better in each course used to satisfy the major.
- All 21 credit hours used in the major must be earned at UCF.
- No credit by exam (TSD, Military credit) may be used.
- Students cannot complete major in Leadership and earn the Leadership Studies minor or the Leadership Studies certificate.
- Students must declare the Leadership major prior to filing their intent to graduate.
- Courses designated in 1 (General Education Program) and 2 (Common Program Prerequisites) are usually completed in the first 60 hours.
Related Programs and DepartmentsThe LEADS scholar program will see an increase in students who might want to take the newly proposed course, LDR 3951 Multidisciplinary Leadership as it is identified as a possible course in several of the tracks within this major.
Other track electives may see similar growth, for example, the departments of Psychology or Communications. The availability of courses outside our department is an essential piece of our collaborative interdisciplinary partnerships across the institution.
