The Certificate in Public and Professional Writing will provide students with additional training and experience in workplace and public (i.e., civic, community-based) writing.
The Public and Professional Writing Certificate may be completed fully online, although not all elective options or program prerequisites may be offered online. Newly admitted students choosing to complete this program exclusively via UCF online classes may enroll with a reduction in campus-based fees.

- Courses transferred from private and out-of-state schools must be evaluated for equivalency credit. Students must provide all appropriate documentation.
Certificate Requirements
- Students should work with department to select restricted elective courses that support the students' intended career or post-graduation path.
- Students cannot earn both the Certificate in Public and Professional Writing and the Minor in Writing and Rhetoric.
