Orlando business, community and education leaders traveled to Phoenix this month to learn about best practices and innovative approaches to regionalism that will help them further Orlando and Central Florida’s economic development efforts.
A highlight of the trip was a visit to Arizona State University’s downtown Phoenix campus, where about 80 Orlando leaders got a first-hand look at how the campus has revitalized the area — and how UCF’s planned downtown campus in Orlando could do the same.
During the trip, UCF President John C. Hitt and ASU President Michael Crow discussed the benefits and lessons learned in building an urban, downtown campus.
