UnionWest at Creative Village, the new 15-story student housing and student services building at Creative Village in downtown Orlando, is now accepting applications for UCF and Valencia College students who want to live at the new UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown campus, scheduled to open in fall 2019. Applications and new information about the student housing building can be found at the redesigned website, unionwest.ucf.edu. The site also includes details about the downtown Orlando property, including virtual tours, an image gallery, 3D floor plans and pricing.
UnionWest has three different 4-bedroom floor plans to suit the needs of many types of students. Shared bedrooms are available in two of the three unit types, while private bedrooms and baths are also available. All units are furnished and include a personal mini fridge for each resident. Utilities, including power, water, trash, high-speed Wi-Fi and cable, are all included in the price.
Already under construction, UnionWest is located across the street from the new Dr. Phillips Academic Commons.
UnionWest is different from any other UCF-managed student housing, both in design and in regards to who can live there. All types of UCF students, from freshmen to graduate students, can apply to live at UnionWest. The housing will also serve Valencia College students enrolled at the shared downtown Orlando campus, which opens in fall 2019. All applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Current UCF residents will be interested to hear that UnionWest will be excluded from the returning resident housing lottery process.
