Biography

Cameron Ford is a noteworthy scholar and educator with more than 35 years of higher education experience. His research and teaching interests focus on how individuals develop novel ideas that create value in organizational and professional settings characterized by myriad constraints on novelty and varied perspectives on value. These interests motivated a strong program of research that has generated more than 6,000 citations and spawned several doctoral students pursuing related research agendas.

He has also invested in institution building at UCF. He founded the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, established the Blackstone LaunchPad at UCF, and conceived and implemented almost all of UCF’s academic entrepreneurship offerings. These initiatives engage thousands of UCF students annually across campus to learn entrepreneurial skills, explore the power of their ideas, and increase their professional impact.

Ford’s research has appeared in journals such as the Academy of Management ReviewJournal of ManagementJournal of Organizational BehaviorJournal of Applied Behavioral Science, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
