Biography
Carolina Cruz-Niera’s expertise includes applications of immersive technologies, architecture for heterogeneous collaborative experiences, context-driven immersive interfaces and collaborative spaces applications for virtual and augmented reality, and emerging visual data analytics. A pioneer innovator, Cruz-Niera developed the CAVE automatic virtual environment, which became the standard for rear projection-based VR systems.
