Biography

Dazhong Wu is an assistant professor in mechanical and aerospace engineering. He manages the Additive Manufacturing and Intelligent Systems Lab, where he and his team develop novel smart manufacturing systems as well as improve the reliability and safety of complex systems. Wu’s research includes data-driven prognostics and health management, artificial intelligence-enabled smart manufacturing, additive manufacturing, engineering design, obsolescence risk management and product lifecycle forecasting.

In 2021, Wu was named one fo the 20 Most Influential Academics by The Society of Manufacturing Engineers. His published work has been cited more than 3,600 times, according to Google Scholar.
