Biography

Dr. Jennifer Kent-Walsh is a professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and director of the FAAST Atlantic Region Assistive Technology Demonstration Center. She has previously worked as a classroom teacher and speech-language pathologist in public school and hospital settings in Canada and England.

Kent-Walsh is interested in developing and evaluating interventions designed to improve language and communication outcomes for children with developmental disabilities who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She also develops and evaluates service-learning instructional approaches in communications sciences and disorders.
