Biography
Kerri Donaldson Hanna’s research focuses on understanding the formation and evolution of airless bodies such as the moon, Mercury, Mars’ moons, and asteroids. Donaldson Hanna is involved in several lunar missions, including Lunar Trailblazer, scheduled to launch in 2024 to make high spatial and spectral resolution maps of key regions on the lunar surface, including those thought to have water and those that are geologically interesting. With planetary scientist Adrienne Dove, Donaldson Hanna will lead a $35 million mission in 2026 to study the Gruithuisen Domes’ chemical composition and how dust interacts with the spacecraft and a rover.
