Biography
Dr. Pratt’s research interests include sustainable tourism development, tourism in small island states and film tourism. He is co-creator of the popular YouTube channel, The Travel Professors.
Prior to undertaking his PhD, Pratt was a marketing research consultant, having worked in Sydney, Australia, and Hawaii on both the client and supplier-side. Steve serves on numerous editorial boards for journals and is involved in several association bodies, such as the International Association for Tourism Economics, International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education and Country Representation for the Republic of Fiji of the APacCHRIE (Asia Pacific Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education Board). He is also an External Reviewer for The Quality Assurance Agency.
He has extensive teaching experience in both undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of tourism, sustainability and research methods.
