Biography

Dr. Yanisa Del Toro is a board-certified internal medicine specialist who combines her passion for patient-centered care with expertise in educating the next generation of physicians. As a clinical educator, she teaches third- and fourth-year medical students and is involved in other medical education courses for first- and second-year students throughout the year. She also cares for patients at UCF Health.

She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. She earned her M.D. from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico with bachelor’s degrees in biology and environmental sciences. For two years in Miami, she worked with medical students at the Domestic Violence Center, providing primary care and screening for diabetes and hypertension.
