The Master Promissory Note (MPN) is your promise to repay the lender. You must complete the online MPN if this is your first time borrowing a Direct Loan. For your convenience, you may electronically sign and submit the MPN online from StudentAid.gov.
In order for students to be able to use the StudentAid.gov site effectively for completing the MPN, they will need to have installed the latest release for one of the supported browsers:

- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Apple Safari
Selecting the Type of Direct Loan MPN
You must choose the appropriate MPN that corresponds with the loan you are borrowing

Required Information
During the E-signing process, you will be asked to provide the following information:
- FSA ID
An FSA ID is comprised of a username and password and can be used to login to certain Federal Student Aid websites, such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). - Legal Name
Your full legal name, social security number, date of birth and address. Please note that your full legal name should match what you filed on the FAFSA and your record at UCF.For those who legally changed names due to marriage: The name that you use to sign the current FAFSA should always be your legal name at the time of filing. If you filed the current FAFSA before getting married, you should use your maiden name for the current year’s FAFSA and MPN. You would update your FSA ID using your new last name and the FAFSA for the new aid year.
- Driver’s License
Your Driver’s License number and state. If you do not have a driver’s license you may leave this field blank. - Two References
Name, address and telephone numbers of two references who have known you for at least three years. You cannot use two references with the same address.
Disable Pop-up Blockers
You must disable ALL pop-up blockers in your browser.
