The First Generation Matching Grant Program is a need-based financial aid program supported with both institutional and state funding.
First Generation students can apply for various First Generation Matching Grants via Access to Opportunities (A2O). By completing the general A2O application and then the general First Generation Matching Grant application, you will be reviewed for eligibility.
Students will be notified they have been selected for a First Generation Matching Grant via an email to their UCF Email account by the end of the Spring semester. The selected candidates will have an award posted on their Award Summary. Students will also need to complete the post-acceptance process through A2O.
Note: The majority of First Generation Matching Grants are not a renewable award; however, students may be considered each year if they meet the criteria and if funding is available. If a grant is renewable, your eligibility will be reviewed as long as both general applications are on file.
