The UCF Arboretum is an outdoor laboratory that supports and encourages relevant, experience-based learning, urban ecology research, and fosters human connections with ecosystems and landscapes. The Arboretum contributes to student development and engagement through volunteer, service-learning and educational opportunities. It is one of the many ways in which UCF engages with the community – providing partnership and outreach initiatives that increase awareness and understanding of key issues in ecology, natural resource conservation, and urban horticulture. While the focus is on the Central Florida region, our diverse, inclusive program supports global efforts to create sustainable urban environments around the world.
