So, get this: Students can be interns for the highly popular blog CountryMusicisLove.com.

With all the growth, Lauren and Erin, the writers for the website, just can’t keep up—it’s time to let others in. And they’d love to reach out to fellow Knights to join them and make even bigger things happen.

For more on the story of Lauren and Erin’s rise to serious media source, see our story on the blog’s rise.

Here’s the release straight from the blog:

CountryMusicIsLove.com, the premiere Country Music news website and official GRAMMY.com Blogger for Country Music for the 54th GRAMMY Awards, is looking for two interns for the Spring ’12 term for our Orlando-based operations.

The first internship focuses on editing audio and video segments that will appear on our website and also on radio stations around the country. This intern will not only edit the audio and video, but will often be called upon to write the segments (at least three per month). Familiarity with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, Pro Tools, Garage Band, or Audacity required.

The student for this internship would preferably have already completed RTV 2102 (Writing for Electronic Media) and RTV 3210 (Audio Production 1).

The second internship focuses on newsgathering and blogging on news about Country Music and its artists. Interns will be expected to help provide content for sections of the website as needed. Blogging duties will be centered on news and information about Country Music artists and their lives, as well as conduct interviews with artists.

The students for this internship must have completed RTV 3301 (Electronic Journalism 1) by the start of the internship. A strong interest and commitment to music journalism is essential.
