A major landmark on the UCF campus will undergo a makeover this spring, as the CFE Arena changes its name to the Addition Financial Arena.
This change goes hand in hand with the rebrand of Lake Mary-based CFE Federal Credit Union, who owns the naming rights to the CFE Arena. On May 1, the credit union will change its name to Addition Financial. This name change is intended to help CFE expand throughout the region and make the credit union a more inclusive place to do business.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with the University of Central Florida and the CFE Arena as we transition our name to Addition Financial. Under our new name, we will remain dedicated to our heritage in education, and will proudly serve the university in the years to come,” says Kevin Miller, CFE’s president and CEO.
The Spectra-managed CFE Arena is home to the UCF men’s and women’s basketball programs, as well as concerts, family shows and other attractions for the Central Florida area. It will officially change its name to the Addition Financial Arena on May 1, to coincide with the credit union’s name change. However, installation of new signage will begin as early as late March. The credit union will cover the cost of the new signage.

After the name changes, Addition Financial will continue to serve as the official financial institution of the UCF Knights, and its Board of Directors, management team, and employees will remain in place. The credit union will take on the slogan “Count Us In,” to encompass its focus on empowering members through financial education and specialized products and services.
