Craig Erwin will join UCF Foundation Inc. as chief financial officer on July 29.
Erwin brings 25 years of experience in finance, including 18 years of higher education financial administration. He most recently served as vice president for administration and finance, and CFO at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Prior to his time at UMW, Erwin served as vice president for finance and administration and CFO at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. He says he is excited to bring his expertise in strategic financial planning, operations management and forward-focused leadership to UCF, in addition to his extensive experience in all phases of real estate, including acquisition of office space and undeveloped land, disposition of real estate from donors, property sales, and management of tenant occupied real estate.
Originally from Louisiana, Craig spent many years in Nebraska and Texas before his most recent move to Virgina. Being an avid golfer, he is looking forward to enjoying the Florida sunshine and warm weather, including the opportunity to once again hit the links year-round. Outside of golf, Erwin enjoys spending his free time with his family, gardening and cooking barbecue on the smoker.
Erwin holds an MBA from Texas Christian University and undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He is a Big 12 football fan from his time at TCU but is excited to cheer on the Knights this fall.
Erwin and his spouse, Jenn, have two children, a daughter who’s a rising senior at another college in Florida and a son who’s a rising senior in high school. The couple also has two dogs and recently inherited the classroom pet hamster from their son’s school.
