Recently, the Panhellenic Council hosted their first “Cupcake Wars” to help raise money for Knight-Thon and benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. Participating organizations were asked to pay a $50 entry fee and bake 16 cupcakes representing the 16 years that Knight-Thon has been on the UCF campus.
The event began with a welcome from the Panhellenic Council and an introduction of the judges. The judges were the Knight-Thon executive board members and three Miracle Children accompanied by their parents. The judges walked from table to table sampling and scoring all of the cupcakes. Then, the three Miracle Children shared their personal stories on the impact of Children’s Miracle Network. Lastly, the winners of the event were announced:
The total amount of money raised at the event for Knight-Thon was $682.12. Overall, the event was extremely successful and Panhellenic is already planning for the second Cupcake War in a year.
