Four clients of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF made the prestigious 2010 Inc. 500/5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list, representing the top-tier businesses in the United States, measures revenue growth from 2006 to 2009.
The clients include:
- LimitLess International, Cheryl Stockstad, President – ranked 322 with 918% three-year sales growth. Limitless is an Orlando-based global transportation company providing domestic and global air and ocean transportation, warehousing, distribution and TSA screening facilities for air cargo shippers.
- Hooah LLC, Jorge Suria, President – ranked 582 with 521% three-year sales growth. Hooah is a minority-owned interactive communications firm located in Winter Park.
- Common Sense Office Furniture, Craig Caswell, President – ranked 3,735 with 41% three-year sales growth. Common Sense Office Furniture sources and sells office furniture to Florida businesses.
- American Home Companions, James Mark, President – ranked 4,551 with 16% three-year sales growth. This is the third year in a row Orlando-based AHC made the Inc. 5000 list. AHC is Florida’s largest live-in companion care agency.
These Central Florida businesses attribute part of their growth to the services they received from the SBDC at UCF, including business counseling, training, and government procurement assistance. In addition, each of the four businesses participated in the center’s award-winning program, the Advisory Board Council. The Advisory Board Council aims to facilitate business growth through the use of advisory boards for established Orange County companies. The program acts as a matchmaker between established businesses and professionals who volunteer their expertise as members of a ‘custom-fit’ advisory board.“The board has helped me become a better leader and manage my company more effectively. I am fortunate to have a group of professionals who have been so dedicated to the success of my company.” Limitless International was named to the elite 2010 Inc. 500 list,” said Cheryl Stockstad, president of Limitless International.
