Professional and collegiate members of various hospitality and event collectives recently gathered to spread holiday cheer to our armed forces.
The USO Greater Jacksonville Area was the focus on the Annual Event Industry Holiday Luncheon, held Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Downtown Disney.
Staci Feeney, Rosen College student and Vice President of Membership for the HSMAI Central Florida Collegiate Board participated in the event. “Attendees were asked to bring a Ziploc bag of travel size goods to send over to our troops stationed overseas for the holidays. We also were encouraged to fill out holiday cards to send over with the care packages.” Additionally, each of professional organization held a raffle to provide a donation to the USO.
The luncheon featured festive holiday music by the Carol Singers Company and Sing Off artists.
Event attendees included members of: MPI Greater Orlando Area Chapter (GOAMPI) & Collegiate Chapter; Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Central Florida Chapter & Rosen College Collegiate Chapter; National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) Orlando Chapter; International Special Event Society (ISES) Orlando Chapter; and the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC).
