An interfaith forum and luncheon about local and global issues surrounding Judaism, Christianity and Islam will be held Oct. 17 at the UCF Student Union.
Participants in the forum, from 10:30 to 1:30 p.m., are: Doug Evans, the Three Wise Guys and Zainab Al-Suwaij.
Doug Evans lectures at UCF on world religion and will provide introductory remarks. The Three Wise Guys — Rabbi Steven Engel, the Rev. Bryan Fulwider and Imam Muhammad Musri — share their perspectives on interfaith issues in their weekly radio show called “Friends Talking Faith” on WMFE-FM. They will discuss human trafficking and the role for religion.
Al-Suwaij, the co-founder and executive director of the American Islamic Congress, will deliver the luncheon keynote. Al-Suwaij started AIC to build interfaith and interethnic understanding, and to also be a representative of the diversity of American Muslims. She will discuss “Interfaith Dialogue Post-9/11.”
