On Wednesday, April 8, Rosen Life hosted the 2nd Annual Mr. & Miss Hospitality professional pageant at UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. At the end of the evening, which showcased the talents and skills of students dedicated to the hospitality industry, senior hospitality management major Dale Reyes and junior hospitality management major Moriah Tate were named Mr. and Miss Hospitality, respectively.
Eight contestants participated in talent, professional wear and interview segments before three guest industry judges: Bradley Loomis, assistant director of career services for Rosen College, Deborah Weissberg, an instructor at Rosen College and Troy Shoemaker, assistant director of central reservations for Rosen Hotels & Resorts. Senior and Miss Hospitality 2014 Ashley Germano and past contestant Joshua Rosen, ’14 served as pageant hosts.
Both Reyes and Tate received $300 scholarships courtesy of the UCF Student Government Association. During the show, the audience also had the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant to win the title of “Fan Favorite,” which was awarded to junior event management major Julie Ludwig.
