For next season, NBC has ordered “School Pride,” a reality series from University of Central Florida grad Cheryl Hines.
Hines stars in the HBO comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” but her NBC series is about unleashing enthusiasm. NBC honcho Jeff Gaspin described it as a “feel-good, do-good show” that is family friendly.
The series “tells the stories of communities coming together to renovate their aging and broken public schools,” NBC said.
“School Pride” will share the 8 p.m. Friday slot with Lisa Kudrow’s “Who Do You Think You Are?” And “School Pride” will air first.
