Several nursing students received awards for their community projects at UCF’s annual Service-Learning Student Showcase. Together, they earned $2,500 in student scholarships.
The College of Nursing began its community-based, service-learning nursing curriculum in 1997 when it established seven CNCs in Orange County. Today they reach 16 communities across five counties and annually provide more than 31,000 nursing interventions to Central Florida’s most economically disadvantaged residents.
