Sometimes there are moments you know you’ll remember the rest of your life.
This week will be one of those for Knight Nation.
ESPN College GameDay will broadcast live from campus this Saturday. Our football team — with a nation-best 22-game winning streak — will play Cincinnati at 8 p.m. in ABC’s national primetime game.
I trust you’re as excited as I am about the opportunity to show the country what a special place UCF is, and I hope you’ll join me on Saturday and at events leading up to the big day to be a part of it.
You can find everything you need to know about GameDay, including parking and tailgating policies, here.
I ask all Knights, whether in person or on your social media platforms, to welcome our ESPN guests with open arms. Let’s show the GameDay crew and the country that Knights know what it means to be National Champions on and off the field.
Last week, I saw it firsthand when I jumped into the Reflecting Pond with several thousand students. The enthusiasm, school pride and good humor were contagious!
Just as our athletics are on the rise, so are our academics — like our National Champion Computer Programming team, record-setting first-year retention and efforts to serve our growing number of Latino students.
We have an incredible chance to share our passion and constant pursuit of excellence with the nation. As Knights, I know we will rise to the challenge!
Charge On,
UCF President Dale Whittaker
