The Off-Campus Housing Fair was a one-stop shop for students, faculty and staff to research their off-campus living options. Held at Memory Mall, the event connected attendees to 25 local restaurants, businesses and apartment community representatives. The fair was an opportunity for students to ask landlords questions and learn about rental apartment offerings near campus. Each table offered valuable information in their search or decision-making process.
Off-campus apartment communities included: Knight’s Circle, Pointe at Central, Boardwalk, The Edge, The Gatherings, Northgate Lakes, The Lofts, Riverwind, Village at Alafaya Club, Village at Science Drive, Orion @ Orprington (formerly was known as Jefferson Village); University House, Sterling Central; Campus Crossing at Alafaya, and Campus Crossing at College Station. Many of these are student residential communities within a 2-mile radius of UCF. Local merchants such as Authentic Hawaiian Grill, B2 Café, Tires Plus and Compass Self Storage familiarized students what they offer near campus.
Attendees enjoyed restaurant food tasting, freebies, games and activities. Entertainment included a DJ who played music and promoted special apartment deals.
The Off-Campus Housing Fair is held during the fall and spring of the academic year. The Central Florida Future has organized the event since 2008. UCF’s Off-Campus Student Services and Student Neighborhood Relations with the support of Housing and Residence Life provided assistance to attract vendors to the event.
Off-Campus Student Services is an office in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services.
