On February 10, UCF students stepped behind a screen at the “All Gender Love” event to show their support of love, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
LGBTQ+ Services, an office within the Department of Social Justice and Advocacy, provided an opportunity for students to have their silhouettes projected onto a screen, concealing any clues as to their gender, while posing to express love for friends, significant others and themselves.
Approximately 200 students participated in the event and expressed their support of all relationships and identities.
“Valentine’s Day is a holiday that is filled with images of men and women in heterosexual relationships, but at UCF, there was truly All Gender Love,” said Riley McEuen, graduate assistant for SJA.
