During the fall semester, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities in conjunction with the UCF Parent and Family Fund held the first UCF Creed Art Contest. Students from across campus were encouraged to submit original works of art that represented the UCF Creed values.
Nineteen talented students submitted their original artwork and three winners were selected by the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. Students who submitted their artwork included their personal artistic reflections. One student, Maridas Akinci, wrote “…the purpose of this piece is to promote the spirit of acceptance and respect that exists on the UCF campus…”
The winners were: Kimmy Duong, Meagan Miller and Serenela Pelier – each winning a Nook Color.
All art submissions are currently on display in the Technology Commons, Nicholson School of Communication and Education building. The Creed Art Contest will be back during the spring 2013 semester, so be on the lookout for more great art around campus.
Student Rights and Responsibilities is an office in the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services.
