President Obama recently named more than 100 science, math, and engineering teachers and mentors as recipients of prestigious Presidential Awards for Excellence.
Wendy Shelden (UCF College of Education grad) was chosen and will receive the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Shelden, a fourth-grade teacher at Ralph Williams, Jr. Elementary in Rockledge will also receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation.
