UCF Alumna to Play Major Role in the Future of Downtown Orlando

Bridget Downes Keefe, former assistant director of the University of Central Florida (UCF) Alumni Association, and UCF alumna, has been selected as the new executive director for the Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP). Keefe is a graduate of the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management and the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs.

In her new role as DOP executive director, Keefe is responsible for overseeing daily operations and implementing strategic plans and programs for the association, working with board members and business leaders to enhance business and community relationships in Downtown Orlando through collaborative events and initiatives. Among her other duties, Keefe will manage all volunteer relations, marketing and communications efforts among all of DOP business partners and members.

Keefe credits her experience as a UCF student and former employee for preparing her for her new role. “My time working with the UCF College of Business and Alumni Association exposed me to a network of some of the most impressive business leaders in the Orlando and Central Florida region,” said Keefe. “The connections and learnings from my time as a student and employee at UCF have been invaluable to my professional growth. This includes the lessons I learned on customer service and event coordination as an undergraduate student at the Rosen College, the deep knowledge of public organizational management that I gained in my post-graduate studies in the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs. I continue to benefit from all of these experiences as I grow as a professional.”

The Downtown Orlando Partnership is an association of volunteer board members and one executive director that manages over 200 corporate members. Members of the DOP include business professionals working in the area of finance, architecture, hospitality, healthcare, sport, public service and other professionals with a vested interest in the continued growth of downtown Orlando.
