The university’s new podcast Knights Do That is now available to download on a streaming platform near you.
Produced by UCF, the podcast will focus on Knights who do incredible things on campus, in the community and around the globe. The idea is inspired by the students, faculty, administrators, staff and alumni who continue to push the needle forward as innovators, entrepreneurs and creators impacting the world around them.
The podcast’s introductory episode with host Alex Cumming debuts May 17 on Spotify, Apple and other podcast streaming platforms. Cumming is an Orlando native, the son of a three-time UCF alumna and a second-year BFA theatre acting student. Before enrolling at UCF, he spent a year as a full-time actor in Chicago and took classes with renowned improvisation comedy group, The Second City. In addition to his studies, he performs with Playback UCF and also writes for a student-run fashion and lifestyle publication, Strike Magazine UCF.
New episodes will post every other Monday and are scheduled to kick off with university President Alexander Cartwright, Associate Professor of Emergency and Crisis Management Claire Connolly Knox, and Professor and Interim Chief Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Officer Kent Butler. Music for each episode is composed by College of Arts and Humanities Professor Alex Burtzos.
