The 2019 college football season came to a close this week, and in the final Associated Press Top 25 and Amway Coaches national polls, UCF made its way back up among the top 25. The Knights appear at 24 in both rankings.
The Knights went 10-3 in 2019, losing all three of their games on the road by a combined seven points. It was the first time since 2016 that UCF had lost multiple games in a season, and it marks the third straight year that the Knights finished in the top 25.
UCF earned its 10th win of the year with a win over Marshall in the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa. It is the first time in program history that the Knights have won at least 10 games in three straight seasons, going 13-0 in 2017 and 12-1 in 2018.
UCF is one of just two teams from the state of Florida in the final polls of 2019.

There are four teams from the American Athletic Conference ranked in the final polls. Memphis, Cincinnati and Navy also earned the recognition, giving The American more ranked teams than all conferences other than the Big Ten and the Southeastern Conference.
UCF gets things started next season against North Carolina on opening weekend. The Knights also face Georgia Tech, FIU and Florida A&M in non-conference play.
