On November 14, over 900 participants filled the CFE Arena to hand-packed over 150,000 meals of lentils, rice, vegetables and Himalayan salt at the 4th annual Pack to Attack Hunger event. Event gathering included 14 Greek organizations, university registered student organizations and other campus, and local partners. In addition, organization members raised $42,000 for the event with Alpha Epsilon Phi awarded Overall Winner and 2nd Place Fundraiser.
“Pack to Attack Hunger is a partnerships between the Panhellenic Council and Feeding Children Everywhere,” Jordan Kuveke, vice president for Panhellenic community involvement. “The event is a result of endless hours of fundraising on behalf of Greek organizations and UCF Athletics. Pack to Attack is a unique event that empowers individuals to raise money to change the world but also to turn their fundraising efforts into actions by then packaging the meals. The effort put forth by these students will be felt by children in the Central Florida community who were not expecting a healthy meal for dinner. Together, we are feeding children everywhere.”
The majority of meals will be distributed to the Central Florida community with a portion to orphans in Zambia, Africa.
Feeding Children Everywhere is a social charity that empowers and mobilizes people to assemble healthy meals for hungry children.
