While the University of Central Florida currently supports more than 60,000 students, losing just one member greatly impacts the campus community.
On Thursday, April 9, the UCF community will gather together for this year’s Eternal Knights Memorial Service, which will honor the lives of 11 students who passed away during recent academic terms. The ceremony will start at 4 p.m. in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union.
In its 15th year, Eternal Knights is an opportunity for families and friends to join the campus community in a solemn tribute to their loved ones.
During the eulogy, each student is recognized and given the title, “Eternal Knight.” The event, though somber, is incredibly meaningful and a powerful indicator of what makes UCF special.
Whether you know one of the students being memorialized or not, we are all UCF Knights. Please help us show the families and friends of these individuals what it is like to be a member of the UCF community by attending the ceremony.
In addition, UCF will participant in a 22-second campus-wide moment of silence at 4 p.m., with two seconds dedicated to each Eternal Knight.
