Aaron Malave, a marketing major at the University of Central Florida, has been presented with the “Thirty Under 30” award by Sports Launch Magazine. This award recognizes college students and young professionals who epitomize hard work, innovation, creativity and leadership in the sports business industry. Sports Launch Magazine is a nationwide career services company that is dedicated to launching careers in the industry.
Starting as a marketing and promotions intern at UCF Athletics, Malave is currently interning in corporate partnerships with the Orlando Magic. His ultimate career goal is to use his status as a sports business professional as a platform to increase industry diversity by sparking passion for the business in minority youth. Ultimately, he wishes to create opportunities for and serve as an inspiring mentor to all that he precedes.
“It is an honor to be able to represent UCF and the DeVos Sport Business Management program in my endeavors. I’m extremely grateful to have professors and mentors like Scott Bukstein and Keith Harrison who challenge me to step outside of my comfort zone,” said Malave.
