University of Central Florida junior Tiffany Maher has one more chance to prove she can dance.
Maher, who specializes in jazz, is in the final four on this season of the FOX reality-competition show So You Think You Can Dance. The four will perform for the best male and female dancer titles at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Maher or Eliana Girard, a ballet dancer from West Palm Beach, will be named the top female dancer during the show’s finale at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Maher began dancing at age 3 at a studio in Plantation. She started teaching dance classes when she turned 15, and since then, she has danced in movies such as “Step Up Revolution” and “Rock of Ages.”
She graduated from South Plantation High School in 2011 and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is majoring in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on public affairs.
Voting is crucial to Maher’s success on So You Think You Can Dance. Voting will open after Tuesday’s episode ends and will close two hours later. Viewers can vote for Maher by calling a toll-free number, texting her name to 83676 or submitting their votes online.
