Create inspiring educational experiences in the secondary classroom.

The field of education is changing. Today’s middle and high school students face new challenges, from rapidly changing technology to societal shifts in educational standards and expectations. The modern educator must innovate and push boundaries, so students are able to fully embrace their education and prepare themselves for a bright future.

Through UCF Online, you’ll analyze modern issues facing the educational landscape, including social, ethical, legal and safety challenges. In addition, you’ll gain skills in instruction, disciplinary literacy, developmental reading and the principles of learning. Upon successful completion of this graduate certificate you will be prepared to meet the state’s professional preparation coursework requirements for Florida teacher certification, as the program is designed for students who have secured a teaching position, plan to teach or currently have a temporary teaching certificate.

The Initial Teacher Preparation Program graduate certificate is designed to provide foundational courses that can help supplement requirements toward teacher certification here in Florida. The courses taught within this graduate certificate program can also be applied to other UCF Master’s degree programs that provide students a pathway to professional educator certification through a Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) state-approved initial teacher preparation program.

Get started today and begin your educational journey with UCF Online.
