U.S. News and World Report ranked the University of Central Florida as No. 5 in best online bachelor’s degree programs that help veterans reduce the cost of school.
How are the Best Online Bachelor’s Rankings chosen?
U.S. News & World Report is a multi-platform publisher of news and information that includes usnews.com and annual print and e-book versions of its authoritative rankings of Best Colleges, Best Graduate Schools and Best Hospitals. U.S. News evaluates several factors to rank the best online bachelor’s degree programs, including graduation rates, faculty credentials and support services available for fully online students.
These are assessed in four categories used to determine a school’s standing: engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion.
For the Best Online Programs for Veterans ranking, all schools included in these rankings first have to be ranked among the top half of schools in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Online Programs rankings. These rankings measure these factors in consideration to financial benefits available specifically to people with military experience, such as program reputation, faculty credentials, retention rates, graduate debt loads, GI Bill status, and population of students with a military background.

Top 10 Best Online Nursing Graduate Programs
U.S. News & World Report recently ranked UCF No. 14 in the 2024 Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs out of 179 schools. The College of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and offers fully online bachelor’s, master’s, certificate and doctorate programs taught by nationally recognized faculty.

To help identify these schools, U.S. News asks university presidents, provosts and admissions deans at some of the top academic colleges and universities across the country to name the institutions they think develop and deliver innovative ideas, opportunities and solutions. In a peer assessment survey, each university leader who contributed to the survey rankings were tasked to nominate up to 15 institutions in their U.S. News Best Colleges ranking category that are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities.
