Biography
Javier Benavente possesses over 35 years of space and technology-related experience spanning engineering, program management, enterprise development and governance. Javier provides a wide range of services related to technically complex programs, including program and project management, technology and engineering solutions development, and systems engineering, design, and analysis.
Javier’s program and project experience spans a wide variety of missions and commercial programs, including NASA STS, ISS/SSF and microgravity programs, NASA KSC, GRC, JSC, JPL and MSFC technology, engineering and institutional support programs, USAF space technologies programs, missile defense systems, neural network and AI systems, renewable ocean energy generation, high-fidelity simulation systems, digital animation and media post-production systems and services.
When not supporting the achievement of Lunar-VISE science goals and NASA/DoD commercial client enterprise goals, Javier enjoys restoring with his wife and life partner their Victorian home in historic downtown Daytona Beach, surfing, biking, and walking Charlie.
Javier received both an MS Astronautical Engineering and BS Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and an MS Engineering Management and MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Javier received his O-Levels from The Lodge School, Barbados and is a PMI-certified Program Management Professional (Cert #1509818).
