Education is a growing concern for the success of the next generation of our community. Low-income communities experience this setback for its students, and the goal of the UN under this sustainable development goal (SDG) is to not only create more sustainable practices for inclusive and equitable education, but also to increase engagement. UCF Downtown faculty are leading opportunities not only to teach the next generation, but also to train educators that are teaching the next generation. Research under this SDG is centered around challenges teachers face in teaching literacy to students, effects of the classroom environment on learning and achievement, and evaluation of evidence-based instructions using teacher development.
